Several months ago I had a dream. It was a special dream from the LORD that I shut away in my heart to await the day I would have freedom to share it. I did share it with a few of you and I believe it touched you nearly as awesomely as it touched me.
As far as dreams go it was short but far from ordinary. There was nothing ordinary in its vibrant clarity. But the experience itself was what truly set this dream apart.
THE DREAM
I was driving along a long straight road at night in a Volkswagon (Please don't ask me about the VW, its meaning escapes me as well, I don't even own a VW). The road was lined with forests on both sides and no houses were visible. Several cars had passed me going the opposite direction at a high rate of speed. It was very very dark and yet I could see around me because of a glow that didn't expose things using light but gave me an ability to see and know what was in the darkness.
As I was driving a great light shone above the car. I couldn't see the source of light because the roof of the car blocked it from view. Suddenly, I began to rise out of my seat! As I rose I passed through the roof of the car! Naturally I became alarmed and grabbed onto the windshield frame. This did not slow my ascent in the least and I found myself lifting the car with me into the air!
I cried out to Jesus Christ and was saturated with a peace that defies my ability to understand or explain! I suddenly realized that I was physically transformed and was now a form of light or was I radiating that light, I don't know. But, I instantly knew that I was being resurrected by the LORD Jesus Christ! I cannot even begin to express the joy that flooded my being! I shouted the praises of the LORD as I rose and rose. It was an experience that took me beyond human emotion and one that cannot be replicated on earth apart from the Spirit of God!
I share this dream to encourage you. I have received various email from readers wondering when the next Daily Watch would come out. Thank you for your eagerness to hear from God, those who seek God will find him! There is not a lot that is new that the prophets of God have to say at this moment. It is a time of quiet. Yes, the world is storming around us, the United States readies itself for war and Israel prepares to defend herself from attacks by Iraq and Hizbullah. Remember, there will be wars and rumors of wars. But this is the proverbial quiet before the storm.
Growing up in Western NY State Niagara Falls was figuratively in my back yard. I have been there many times and have brought many friends there as well. For anyone who has been there and stood looking over the edge or stood looking over the edge of the Grand Canyon or a myriad of other precipices in the world, you will identify with me when I speak of the magnetic type of pull that seems to exist at these places. It almost hypnotizes you and draws you toward it. Fortunately for most of us, we have a reasonable amount of good sense and a larger amount of fear and thus we do not allow this 'pull' to draw us to our death! The world stands on the edge of a great precipice. It is being drawn into the void of the last days, the time of testing and trial. The voices of humanity say we will not fall into the void. The false prophets say we will not fall into the void. In some strange way we even try to convince ourselves that we will not fall into the void.
SLIPPING INTO THE VOID
Almost twenty years ago, during a cold Western NY winter, a friend of mine, or so I thought at the time, invited me to see the construction site he was working at as a heavy equipment operator. When I learned that the construction site happened to be the American side of Niagara Falls I readily agreed to come. At the time the Parks Department was renovating the park at the Falls and no one but authorized personnel could enter the site.
We walked around the site crunching away on the ice covered snow. In winter the mist from the Falls covers almost everything nearby in a layer of ice. As we approached the edge of the Falls I noticed two things: first, the protective guard rails had been temporarily removed during construction and second, the crunching as we broke through the ice on the snow had stopped. The ice was now layered thick enough to hold our weight. By the time I put this together in my mind we were only five feet from the edge. Things happened quickly after that. I slipped on the ice and being on a gradual slope I began to slide toward the water. My friend also went down but managed to stop sliding by digging his heals into the ice. As my feet entered the water only several feet from where it went over the Falls I rolled onto my stomach and reached out to my friend. To my horror he kicked at my hands and yelled at me, "You're not taking me with you!"
As the water began to grab at my feet I managed to punch a hole through the ice with my bare hands and pulled myself to safety. I was shaken and not being a believer in Jesus Christ at the time I was appalled at how someone who called himself my friend almost sent me to my death.
Friends, the world is slipping over the edge into the time of trial and testing. Do not look to this world to save you from what is coming. When they face trials with you they will kick at you in order to save themselves! Most won't let you lead them to the safety of Jesus Christ.
The LORD has given us a short moment to catch our breath before we take the plunge, but be warned, the world will go over the edge into the final days. These things are willed by God and nothing can prevent them. And only the everlasting arms of God can carry us through those days!
What I have heard and seen I have told you and soon I will have much more to tell you. There will be much to see and so little time to understand, prepare yourself now and let not your hearts be troubled. Jesus is with us to the very end of the age.
Many of you are experiencing great upheaval in your lives. Be strong and courageous, the LORD is preparing you for what is to come. He is arranging the circumstances that will define your purpose in the last days. Do not fight it, but be thankful for such loving care provided by an awesome God!
When you ask a prophet of God what he has heard from the LORD you had better be prepared to hear what he has to say. The days ahead will not bring good news and yet within it you will find great encouragement because you know that by these signs your redemption is closer than when you first believed.
The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood - idols that cannot see or hear or walk. Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts. Revelation 9:20-21
