PRECONDITIONING

You start your car and pull into the street in front of your home. Your destination? A place frequented by billions of people around the world, their local grocery market. You enter and go about your business collecting the staples used by you and your family. When finished you enter the line to pay for your goods. You have the options of paying with cold hard currency, a credit/debit card, a personal check or have your fingerprint scanned. Fingerprint scanned? That's right, now available in the Thriftway supermarket in the city of Seattle, Washington is the option to have your fingerprint scanned to finalize your transactions.

The maker of the system, Indivos of Oakland, California, is currently marketing its biometrics system (finger scanning) to a host of businesses that make many small transactions each day. The consumer's fingerprint is tied to their credit cards, electronic benefit cards and checking accounts and takes only about a minute to enroll. The appeal to both retailers and consumers is convenience and security. Indivos has already piloted their system with McDonalds restaurants in California who were very enthusiastic. And Indivos' main competitor Biometric Access Corp. of Round Rock, Texas has started a pilot program two weeks ago in some Kroger grocery stores in Texas. Indivos representatives expect major chains to announce their adoption of the system over the next couple of weeks.

No, this is not the mark of the beast, but is a major pre-conditioner of the American people to eventually accept such a mark. This biometric technology is emphasized by the makers as being voluntary, giving the consumer the option of using the old fashioned payment methods if preferred. This system has the right components to make it a precursor of the mark of the beast. It is being used to buy and sell. It is a skin surface technology (the Greek word for the 'mark' is charagma which means to imprint and was primarily used in antiquity in reference to stamping coins or branding slaves). It is being readily adapted to the commercial markets and is already being widely accepted.

The mark of the beast's primary purpose is not to track people or control them. The purpose is two fold: Control the global economy and mark those who are loyal to the kingdom of the antichrist, thus separating the unloyal, including the believers in Jesus Christ and faithful Jews. We are adamantly warned in the scriptures to not take this mark, the consequences will be eternal. Those who stand firm to the end will be marked by God and eternal death will pass over them and they will be rewarded for their loyalty to the true kingdom of the LORD Jesus. For believers in Jesus Christ the old fashioned method will do just fine, thank you!
