MARCHING ON

Lately most of the main media outlets in the United States have acted as if they were really the Arab press in disguise. Refusing to acknowledge the will of the people in the U.S. they have continuously defied their own polling studies. These studies, many of them commissioned by the major television networks, have consistently shown the American public solidly behind Israel. They show disapproval of Palestinian leader Yassar Arafat and have put the blame for the conflict squarely on the shoulders of the Palestinians.
The U.S. media appears to be more like the media in Europe and elsewhere than the unbiased press of a free people. Take for example the constant stream of reports, photos and video stream in the news covering the pro-Palestinian protest marches in various American cities. Often the coverage is intermingled with coverage of similar protests in Palestinian sympathetic countries as if they were a unified grassroots movement against Israel by the world's people. But they are remotely connected at best and the U.S. marches are small, usually no more than 500 people as opposed to the tens of thousands in Muslim countries.
Why doesn't the media cover the much larger and ethnically more diversified pro-Israel protests in U.S. cities? Could it be that the free press is in fact not free? Christians should know the answer to this. Do you believe everything you hear in the media? You shouldn't. The media, like our government, schools and in some cases even our churches, is ruled not by what is right but by the desires of man. As the God-sent delusion settles into the hearts of the people of the earth they will indulge their delight in wickedness. Although sin is somewhat confined by our laws and the last vestiges of intact consciences this will soon give way to laws that make sin legal, as we have already seen. Sin rules man and being ruled by sin is not disagreeable to all men. Driven by their master, Satan, they will work tirelessly to change the world into their own image.
The Bible says that in the last days men will be "lovers of themselves . . ." The American media like that of their comrades in the rest of the world has succumbed to the distortions caused by hardened hearts and depraved minds. Naturally Israel has no rights in this type of world, the sinful mind is hostile to God and thus is hostile to God's people. If the media sees that the people believe opposite of their agenda they simply set out to change it. Is it any wonder that your senses are bombarded with the desires of the flesh from every direction? The LORD of this earth, Satan, is waging war against the nations that stand between him and ascending Mount Zion. To ascend Zion is to usurp the throne of God, Satan's desire for many a millennia.
To defeat his opponents Satan simply has to enslave people one by one, ten by ten and hundred by hundred. But how does a spirit-being enslave the flesh of mortal man? He only has to present the desires of your heart. For example, display the naked body of a woman before a man and the battle ensues. Add in the pressures of other men who have already ignored their consciences and now regard this woman as something to be consumed. Now top it all off with law changes disguised as freedom of speech that make such things legal and therefore condoned by the state. The results are not pretty. Once a decent man and admired by family and friends alike this man will begin to succumb to his fallen nature, that is his inability to be perfect before God because the inclination of his heart was toward sin since his childhood. He will fight against this sin only until he has convinced himself that it is fine. He may even convince himself that he is still acceptable to God who declared what he is doing to be rebellion against God and his kingdom. Whether he understands it or not slavery has taken hold and the resolve of a nation against sin grows dimmer by yet another life enveloped in the darkness of sin.
The scriptures say that many will fall away from the faith and will follow doctrines taught by deceiving spirits. Do not listen to the darkness around you, it calls your name but do not listen because to follow its path will lead to your destruction. Jesus says that he who stands firm to the end will be saved!
