Will Terror Be Rewarded?
By Randy Loudenslager

The European Union has broken with the U.S. on Middle East peace strategy. Labeling President Bush's handling of the issue as simplistic, they are calling for the immediate declaration of a state of Palestine. The EU views the current strategy of requiring Yassar Arafat , as chairman of the Palestinian Authority, to stop all terror attacks perpetrated against Israel by Palestinian terror groups as ineffective. Israel has made this her primary condition to a Palestinian state and will not move from this position.

Israel has outright rejected the EU proposal and the U.S. has commented that it is a distraction to the process already in progress. The EU's foreign ministers view the U.S. strategy as ineffective and feel that it is time for a new perspective. They propose immediate elections be held for Palestinian leadership and Israeli forces withdraw from Palestinian areas. After elections, statehood would be declared and the new Palestinian state would be inducted into the United Nations. Finally, Israel and the Palestinians would enter negotiations about disputed subjects such as borders, Jerusalem and the temple mount.

The EU has taken a bold step. In last weeks article, EU Demonstrates True Pro-Palestinian Agenda, I shared with you how the power hungry EU would try to undermine the U.S. and Israel in support of her friend Yassar Arafat. To ignore Arafat's condoning of terror activities by recognizing a Palestinian state before violence is stopped will send a dangerous message to terrorists everywhere, senseless violence against civilians to achieve a goal is now considered legitimate.

A word . . .
The future can be seen from what is happening today. Just as Europe now ignores the blood shed in senseless violence by Israel's sworn enemies, so later will she condone the destruction of Israel. Later is nearer than you think.
