Iran In The Hot Seat
By Randy Loudenslager
King Abdullah of Jordan has provided evidence to President Bush of Iran's attempt to launch mortar and rocket attacks from Jordanian soil against Israel. 17 separate times Iranian backed Hizbullah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists attempted to carry out the attacks, but were thwarted by Jordanian forces. Clearly there is an increase in open Iranian collaboration with the Palestinians to escalate the violence perpetrated against Israel.
President Bush has named Iran as an 'axis of evil' member and subsequently has drawn the attention of anti-terror coalition allies to this radical Islamic state. Most speculation and some hard intelligence has Osama Bin Laden in Iran, stirring up the heat under a country that has tried to lay low while her neighbor, Afghanistan, was conquered. Iran, like Iraq, is considered a close friend of Russia, who maintains that Iran does not have a weapons of mass destruction program. Recently hard evidence was provided by Israel that Iran supplied Hizbullah with 8,000 missiles for use against Israel from across the border in Lebanon. Iran's fiery religious rhetoric has gone into full gear against Bush's 'axis of evil' reference to Iran, but she understands better than her neighbor Iraq when to appear compliant and not antagonize her foes.
A word . . .
Persia is beating the war drum against Israel, but will grow strangely
quiet for a time. She must wait to have her way until the appointed
times. She will appear peaceful but will beat her plowshares into
swords and will prepare for war. Now a prince of the covenant
stands in Persia's way but will be removed in time.
