26EU Demonstrates True
Pro-Palestinian Agenda

In an attempt to twist America's arm and assert her true agenda, Europe has run into the proverbial brick wall. Threatening to establish her own peace initiatives and forsake the U.S. led team of international mediators, the EU is attempting to undermine the Israeli/American strategy of containment of Yassar Arafat. The EU is seeking to establish herself as a world class super power and has targeted the crisis in Israel as the place to steal the show.
The EU is motivated by other concerns as well, such as her heavy financial investments in the Palestinian Authority, but of primary concern to her is coming out from under U.S. leadership on the international political front. The EU has demonstrated her agenda by calling for the four main mediating groups (U.S., EU, Russia and the UN) to be consolidated into one functioning body that make equal demands of both Israel and the Palestinians. This move would clearly remove U.S. leadership and confine America's voice to a single vote, becoming equal with the EU and others.
The EU also proposed a new international conference to address the Israeli/Palestinian situation, clearly a move (set up with consultation from Arafat's leadership) that would destroy the effective containment of Arafat. The U.S. is increasing its presence in the region with the intention of helping Israel seal off deliveries of fresh arms to the Palestinians. Alarmed by the deterioration of Arafat's power, the EU's challenge to U.S. dominance will further strain their already tested relationship and show Europe's true agenda and what she's made of.
The EU is just another power hungry wanna be, attempting to undermine America. Collaborating with Russia, the EU and the Russian bear will increase pressure on the U.S. Neither Russia or the EU deliberately want to harm Israel, but Israel represents a stumbling block to their self interests. The 38th chapter of Ezekiel tells us that many of the nations that will swarm over Israel in the last days will not know, until then, that they have Israel's harm in mind. But at the appointed times thoughts will come into their minds and they will devise an evil scheme, then the LORD will lead them out with hooks in their jaws against Israel. America, for the moment, is used by God to hold back evil from having its way with the earth and Israel, but a day will come when the collaborations of evil peoples will be allowed to be successful against the U.S. and the door to Israel will be left wide open for those of darkness to enter.
This can be and is a confusing time for Christians. On one hand it is right and just to pray for America and her enduring guard over freedom, but Bible prophecy doesn't speak of an enduring America. By praying just for America's revival and her safety and yet omit praying for the peace of Jerusalem we inadvertently are asking for a delay in the second coming of Jesus Christ. This is opposite of where believers should find themselves. The confusion comes because we want to hold on to America and what she stands for and not acknowledge that her God given glory will fade from prominence as the final acts of world history are played out.
