Jordan Sides With Washington Against Evil Axis
By Randy Loudenslager

King Abdullah II of Jordan has openly sided with President Bush against the "Evil Axis" by saying Bush was justified in referring to Iraq, Iran and North Korea in this term. This is a significant step for Jordan who dwells in the shadow of her much larger and more powerful neighbor Iraq. During the 1993 Desert Storm conflict Jordan sided with Iraq, motivated by self preservation.

Jordan, in part, is now motivated by offers of protection from Washington and the covert efforts by Iraq, Iran and the Palestinians to overthrow her government and replace it with a markedly more radical Islamic regime. The Palestinians particularly are a threat to Jordan. They make up the majority of her population and have tried unsuccessfully in the past to overthrow Jordan's monarchy since she made peace with her neighbor Israel.

Jordan's part in the last days appears to be one of compliance with whoever is in power and will secure her existence. This is evidenced in her flip flopping between Iraq, the U.S. and Israel and from Bible prophecy of last days events (Daniel 11:41). Jordan has been hurt severely in her wars with Israel and lost the West Bank and Jerusalem as a result. She will no longer fight Israel and has made peace, this infuriates radical Islam adherents. We can expect other efforts at undermining Jordan's government as she stands up with Egypt against this evil axis, but due to her diminutive size and location she will not be able to stand against the antichrist as Egypt will and so she will try to walk a road of compliance and neutrality to the very end. Scripture says that Jordan (Ammon) will be delivered from the invasion of the antichrist as he sweeps over the land to vanquish his enemies to the south.
