Saddam Would Use
Nukes Against Attacking Armies

Iraq's former nuclear program director, Dr. Khidhir Hamza, was interviewed recently. Hamza now resides in the United States since defecting from Iraq in 1994. In the interview, Hamza states that Hussein's quest for a nuclear weapon was based on self-preservation. In the event that his rule would be overthrown in an attack by foreign armies he would use a nuclear weapon against them. Dr. Hamza believes it is possible that Saddam already has a nuclear weapon or is not very far from completing one.
Dr. Hamza, prior and up to Desert Storm, was charged by Hussein, with the construction of a nuclear bomb. He claims that the bomb design was indeed finished and ready, but still needed weapons grade enriched uranium to be complete. Hamza estimates the device to be approximately a two to five kiloton powered weapon. This size is quite suitable for a tactical battlefield weapon, a weapon designed to decimate a large army as opposed to devastating cities and regions.
Saddam has several delivery systems for his weapon, making him exceedingly difficult to stop should he choose to use a nuclear device. In addition to aircraft, Saddam has missile technology capable of hitting Israel or Teheran. Also available is an arsenal of three to five super cannons, apparently capable of sending projectiles as far away as Italy. During preparations for Desert Storm a computer war game was played at the Pentagon to simulate conditions of an invasion of Iraq. The question of what to do if Saddam possessed a nuclear weapon was posed to the computer. The computer pondered the question for a while and then answered, "nothing."
Unlike the American mentality of going underground to protect weapon systems and personnel from aerial attack, Saddam has chosen to hide his weapons in houses, hospitals and under trees to fool surveillance satellites and aircraft. To track armies is one thing, but to track individual weapons is nearly impossible for today's technology.
In last week's article, Will Israel Be Nuked Some Day?, I stated that Bible prophecy does not show a full scale nuclear attack on Israel, but these prophecies may hold clues as to these weapons being used to open the door for the invasion and occupation of Israel by the antichrist. Such an event will lead to the beginning of the tribulation. We know from the Bible that an overwhelming army will be swept away. To oppose and sweep away a coalition army or an American army, at this point in history, a Middle Eastern nation would have to resort to nuclear weapons. Remember, the invasion and occupation of Israel will happen after Israel has made peace with her enemies and is living in a much coveted and yet false sense of security.
