The once great Soviet
Union has been reduced to a conglomerate of third world nations
with proud Russia at her core. Now flying a different flag and
sporting a much more democratic moniker, the Commonwealth of Independent
States or C.I.S, has suffered a near collapsed economy and a once
mighty military that is now a rusting relic of the cold war, or
is it? Our media has fed us a constant diet of the political doctrine
that the U.S. won the cold war and the Soviet Union is suffering
because she couldn't keep up with us. Is the West really the victor
of the cold war or was it a well conceived tactical retreat? The
latest news depicts a sleeker, stronger and more agile new bear
with the old bear's cunning. With the exception of the Baltic
states, the former states of the U.S.S.R are in fact unifying
again under the common purpose of being the dominant influence
in the world. Leonid Kuchma, the President of Ukraine, stated,
"Today we all realize we just can't live apart from each
other, neither economically, nor politically and socially,"
he further reasoned, "it took the Commonwealth leaders a
whole decade to finally realize this simple truth, either we …
[suddenly] all saw the light, or maybe we've been given some help
from the Lord."
How does this all add up? The U.S. is rattling sabers at Iraq at the same time that the C.I.S. is defending Iraq against all charges of terrorist activities, lobbying for the removal of U.N. imposed sanctions and moving forward in their growing and already intimate relationship. Iraq is one of the largest purchasers of Russian military hardware and technology. To be sure, Russia will not allow another Desert Storm. Russia in fact is feeling very confident as she begins to assert her powers in the world once again. We owe Russia for lending us bases in C.I.S. territories during the Afghanistan conflict. We will pay a heavy political price to Russia who will come out the winner by achieving hegemony over Afghanistan and her neighbors, something her armies weren't able to achieve. Remember that the largest divisions of the hordes of Gog will come from the North of Israel. As the separate nations begin to act in unison they will be a formidable empire in the hands of the antichrist. This Commonwealth and it's alliances contain multiple states with nuclear weapons and quickly advancing technologies as the C.I.S. has begun to benefit from the open competition found in the globalist's free market economy. This competition in military arms sales has accelerated Russia's technological development and has made her a seller of arms even to the U.S!
Folks, I'll quote Mr. Gorbachev yet again when he addressed the old Soviet Congress for the last time. He told them not to mourn the loss of communism. He said that "communism wasn't disappearing but just changing it's face." Russia, like China, has changed her appearance to gain the benefits to be had from a global economy. She understands the lesson of the dominance of the United States. Make your businesses competitive, build up your economy, strengthen your military and when strong enough begin to exert influence upon this New World Order. The ultimate objective is to be the top dog. Communism will wear any face to achieve it's purposes and has always been very comfortable in her adultery with Islam - watch them work together! They don't know it yet but their efforts will be used by God to punish Israel and then they will be fuel for the consuming fire of the LORD upon his return! This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army . . .In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel . . ." Ezekiel 38:3-8.

The globalists are revealing their plan for universal peace throughout the world within ten years! There is only one problem - the United States. You see, according to U.N. officials the U.S. is holding up the plan by not paying it's dues and not dutifully signing every piece of legislation this "wanna be" World Government spits out in it's attempts to reduce the sovereignty of the nations. They are even specific as to how. They say they will achieve this miracle of world peace through the globalization of industries like banking and finance. He who controls the purse strings is the one in power. Want to be a part of this new world order - then stand in line and take the mark! For the rest of us believers, we know that world peace will be achieved only when Jesus Christ comes and reigns from Jerusalem!

Israel, God's chosen nation, has suffered another deadly attack at the hands of her ancient enemies. The moderates in Washington, in their characteristically storm tossed ways, have flopped again on the Israel/Palestinian conflict. Just days ago Yassar Arafat could do no wrong even as his terrorist cells were killing Israelis one and two at a time. At that time only Israel demanded that all killing stop. Now, due to the extraordinarily high death tolls caused by Palestinian activity, Congress has temporarily been awakened from it's stupor and wants Arafat tamed. Remember what we are doing in Afghanistan to get one man who bombed the WTC. Israel has made it clear that Arafat might not be alive much longer if he doesn't stop the violence. The Congress is bubbling over with statements about Arafat's "undependability" as a promise keeper. Hasn't Israel said this all along as her children are blown into uncountable little pieces!? Little things get lost and soon the slumbering tolerant mind of the moderate leadership will also forget these crimes and Israel will once again be forced to trade her land for a peace that will be no peace at all.

The Battle for Their Hearts
The world has lost no time in exploiting the division in Christian ranks over Harry Potter. A PBS broadcast actually pitted two Christians in a debate over the issue. It should come as no surprise that the undertone was subtly in favor of the pro Harry position. The main focus of the pro Potter side is overwhelmingly an educational justification. They reason that kids who don't like to read are lining up to get these books and are reading them. It has either escaped the fine tuned minds of our children's educators or they are deliberately ignoring the obvious problems with the content. The "whatever it takes" attitude that dominates the minds of the educational elite is born out of the godless tolerance of political correctness. Content is irrelevant in this anything goes culture. I suppose if I was failing in my job to teach youngsters to read then I suppose I might grab at an opportunity to look good when my TRUSTING students sent by their TRUSTING parents consume this well packaged prose of Satan's defecation!
Speaking of education, since when do the students get the final say in a matter? Since now! In one school a lesbian couple was voted "class sweethearts." The principal said no, but the Superintendent overruled because the students had spoken! The student decides morality and the teacher must comply. The 'couple' will be featured in the year book as sweet hearts. This is a dangerous slide into the ditch and ads a new twist to the scripture, "the blind leading the blind!"

The Road to the Temple
God is paving the way for the Temple to be rebuilt on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The southern wall of the Temple Mount is bulging out and tests have conclusively determined that it is in the intermediate stages of collapse! What's more is that the Al Aqsa Mosque, located on the Temple Mount, is showing major structural cracks. The mosque has fallen in earthquakes seven times since it was constructed in the seventh century. The damage to the Temple Mount is apparently coming from the aggressive building project underway to make the Al Aqsa the largest mosque in the world. Israel has protested but has not intervened.
